Important Parking and Shuttle Information

Parking for the Cool Sharks swim meet will be available at 14 E. Wesley Rd. (the lower parking lot for Second Ponce de Leon Baptist Church), at the corner of E. Wesley Rd. and W. Bolling Rd., 0.4 miles west of the Garden Hills Pool.  Two shuttle buses will make trips in a continuous loop between the parking lot and the pool from 3:45 pm until the end of the meet.  We are encouraging all parents to use the parking lot as street parking is extremely limited and parking tickets are being issued in the neighborhood.  All parking on the street in front of the pool will be reserved.  Our shuttle service has been very successful the past few seasons and is actually a fun way to arrive at the meet.  For more information about parking near the Garden Hills Pool (including maps), go to www.gardenhillspool.com/directions.

Weather Information

So far the forecast looks great!  But if that changes and we have thunderstorms with lightning, we will use the shuttle to take families to shelter in their cars.  Please let your parent know that we will make every effort to have the swim meet and to stay at the meet until they hear from their coaches that the meet is cancelled.  We still have Wed. June 7 scheduled as a makeup date if needed (hopefully not!).

Meet Information

We will have a full concession stand with hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza, candy, chips, ice cream, and sodas and water.

Please have your swimmers arrive at 4:30.  We will have the big field next to the pool for your bullpens and families (there is some shade but bring tents if you can - families should bring chairs).  We also have a small shady spot on our pool deck behind the diving end of the pool which you can use for some of your bullpens if you like.
