Streaks Nation,

On this Sunday morning I would like to say Happy Father's Day to all of our Riverside/North Harbor dads. Thank you for yelling from the side of the pool. Thank you for pulling your kids out of the water and giving them a high five after almost drowning during the IM. Thank you for always giving pointers because we all know that our dads are experts on everything.

My own dad taught me to love the sport of swimming. He would drive me to my 7AM Saturday practices. He would drive my sister to her weekend long softball tournaments. He coached me many times and showed me what it meant to give everything your very best. I am confident that all of the coaches and myself would have never wanted to coach had our dads not have taught us to love sports at a young age.

So thank you to all of our dads, step-dads, grandfathers, and all the other father figures we are lucky to have. Have a wonderful Father's Day. As kids, we may not say it enough, but you deserve the day off.
